Water Hoses and Pumps
There are two water hoses that ensure movement around the coolant system. There is a radiator connection to the water pump and secondly a radiator water hose from the engine to the radiator. The water hose has a very demanding and responsible job in cooling the engine. During a cars service, it is not unusual for this to be replaced on a fairly regular basis.
A tell tale sign of a damaged pipe would be when you find yourself constantly adding more coolant, or more obviously spotted, a leak. Either way, you must replace your hose as soon as you can.
It's vital that your engine operates at a proper working temperature. Car engines can get extremely hot and quickly suffer serious damage as a consequence. Usually located at the front or side of the car behind the fan belt, it's the job of the water pump to squirt water from the radiator to the engine in order to regulate its temperature. Centrifugal force then forces water into the engine block on into the cylinder heads before draining back into the radiator ready to be recycled through the system.
If coolant starts leaking or you notice your engine overheating then replace your water pump immediately, as engine damage may be irreparable.
Water pumps are crucial making sure that your engine's cooling system is sealed and efficient. It's absolutely vital that the engine's temperature is controlled properly in order for it to stay completely productive.
Like your hoses, if they are not performing, you must replace them immediately to avoid further engine damage. We are distributors of Unipart branded automotive products, and as such, we have water hoses and pumps for every make and model.
